Capello hopeful over Beckham

Real Madrid boss Fabio Capello is hopeful David Beckham will be fit for next week's crucial clash with Real Mallorca.

Beckham appeared to suffer a recurrence of his ankle injury during Saturday's dramatic 2-2 draw with Real Zaragoza.

The England international was forced to limp through the closing stages of the match and he is rated doubtful for next Sunday's final match of the campaign at home to Mallorca.

The draw with Zaragoza, along with Espanyol's draw with Barcelona, means Real can clinch the Spanish title with a victory against Mallorca and Capello is confident Beckham will be fit in time to take his place in the side.

When asked about Beckham's injury manager Capello said: "It does not worry me because it is the same that he had with the England national team.

"I think that next Sunday he will play with the team."
