Beckham to play in charity game

David Beckham will play in a special charity match for Los Angeles Galaxy to raise money for those affected by the devastating wildfires in southern California.

The Galaxy will play a celebrity team called Hollywood United at their Home Depot Center stadium on November 4 in a match benefiting the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army.

The Hollywood team includes Frank Leboeuf, Richard Gough and former United States internationals Joe-Max Moore and Eric Wynalda, as well as Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas.

Former Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones is another player in the Hollywood 'squad'.
